Dr. Mitra received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr. Mitra has over 13 years of clinical experience and has practiced in Philadelphia, Gaithersburg, and Baltimore prior to joining MedPeds. She grew up in Connecticut and upstate New York and brings a well-rounded, patient-centered approach to her care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mitra is a proud mom to her son, James.
