Dr. Aashish Dewan, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. He grew up for much of his teens in Germantown, MD. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science at the University of Maryland in College Park. He participated in research at the National Cancer Institute in Fort Detrick during his summer breaks and after graduating early from the University of Maryland.

He obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He had the opportunity to participate in a medical mission trip to Nicaragua during one of his summer breaks. He completed his Family Medicine Residency Training with Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his PGY3 year, he served as one of the Chief Residents, in which he helped develop the curriculum, coordinate the residency continuity clinic schedules, and organize individual block rotation schedules. Additionally, he is an adjunct faculty member at a medical school in South Florida.

Throughout his time in residency and after graduating, he assisted with facilitating workshops for medical students at the local medical school and he served as a facilitator for a principle of clinical medicine course for second-year medical students.

After graduation from residency, he has also worked as a hospitalist. During his spare time, Dr. Dewan enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, playing sports like pickleball or racquetball, and exploring new restaurants.
