Monica Braland, PA-C, is a physician assistant serving patients in Annapolis, MD. She earned her Master of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, graduating in 2024, and began her clinical career in plastic surgery before transitioning into primary care to focus on preventive medicine and long-term patient wellness.
Prior to PA school, Monica completed her bachelor’s degree in mathematical biology at the University of Pittsburgh, where she volunteered at the local hospital. She also gained hands-on clinical experience as a dermatology medical assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in skin health and patient education. In 2023, she presented on skin cancer prevention and diagnosis at the Hungarian Medical Association of America’s annual meeting, reflecting her commitment to community outreach and education. She is fluent in Hungarian and enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Her special interests include preventive care, patient education, and building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients. Outside of medicine, Monica enjoys boating and playing golf.
